Thursday - TEL-AVIV / JAFFA |

BREAKFAST. Begin our tour with a drive by the cultural center of Tel-Aviv, viewing the Mann Auditorium and Habimah Theater. On to an exciting visit to the Diaspora Museum, the most extraordinary museum in the world depicting Jewish history and Jewish life through the ages. Then we will tour the Ayalon Institute, a secret factory camouflaged on a kibbutz making millions of bullets for the Hagana and underground. This was done right under the noses of the British authorities. Continue to Old Jaffa, where we walk along the ancient streets, viewing archaeological excavations and charming galleries.

Friday - TEL-AVIV / CAESEREA/ HAIFA |

BREAKFAST. Begin the day with a walk through the open air Carmel Market, where the "locals" shop for the freshest produce and fish. Continue north via Netanya to Caeserea. We visit the Crusadersí Battlement, the Roman Theater - where concerts and cultural events take place all summer long, plus the ancient Aqueduct still standing for 2000 years. Next, an emotional visit to Atlit - a former detention compound for Jewish immigrants who arrived in Israel illegally during the British Mandate period. Arrive at our luxurious hotel atop Mt. Carmel where we are greeted with refreshing fruit juice.
PM: KABALAT SABBATH SERVICE FOLLOWED BY OUR FRIDAY NIGHT TRADITIONAL DINNER WITH WINE (JACKETS FOR MEN). OVERNIGHT HAIFA.

Saturday - HAIFA AT LEISURE |

BREAKFAST. Sabbath at leisure. Enjoy a delightful stroll in the beautiful city of Haifa or visit a local Synagogue. The lovely pool area is yours to enjoy. Available - Optional tour to the incredible Tel Megiddo - the excavations that inspired James Michener's book "The Source". Next, drive to a Druze Village where we learn about their culture and customs in their environment. Be a guest in a Druze home. Browse and shop in their bustling bazaar - a fun way to end an exciting tour before returning to our hotel around 2:00 PM.

Sunday - HAIFA/ AKKO/ SAFED/ UPPER GALILEE |

BREAKFAST. Drive by the Bahai Temple on our way to the ancient port city of Akko where we visit the prison where members of the Hagana and Irgun were held captive during Israel's fight for independence. Here Leon Urisís famous novel "Exodus" was filmed. Then on to the beautiful new Jewish development town Karmiel, in the Galilee. Proceed to Safed, famous art colony and center of mystic Kabbalism. See its Synagogues and picturesque cobblestone streets and art galleries before arriving at our Kibbutz, located in the lush hills of the Upper Galilee. PM: DINNER. After dinner, participate in an interesting talk on Kibbutz Life. OVERNIGHT KIBBUTZ.

Monday - UPPER GALILEE/ TIBERIAS |

BREAKFAST. Morning walking tour of the Kibbutz. Next we drive to the Golan Heights and enjoy a magnificent view of the entire Hula Valley. See the Syrian fortifications which threatened Israel for 19 years before the Six Day War. Continue to Katzrin, the urban center of the Golan Heights. Then on to the Biblical City of Tiberias. Enjoy a special lunch (included) and a scenic cruise on the Sea of Galilee with dancing onboard. Return to Kibbutz. Before dinner, take a swim in the magnificent indoor heated swimming pool. (3 MEALS THIS DAY). PM: DINNER. OVERNIGHT KIBBUTZ.

BREAKFAST. Depart for Beit Shean, the most exciting antiquity excavation in Israel. It is compared to Pompei of ancient Rome. Then to Bet Alpha for a visit to the ancient Synagogue with its outstanding mosaic floor. Continue toward Israel's capital - Jerusalem of Gold. Following in our forefathers footsteps, we enter Jerusalem and gather for a traditional SHEHECHEYANU. PM: SUMPTUOUS DAIRY BUFFET DINNER. OVERNIGHT JERUSALEM.

BREAKFAST. Our first stop is Hadassah Hospital and Synagogue with the famous Chagall windows. Then drive to the JNF forest for optional tree planting. Next, is an emotional visit to Israel's National Memorial to the Holocaust - Yad vashem, including the Museum, the children's Pavillion, and the Avenue of the "Righteous Gentiles". Continue to the Military Cemetery on Mt. Herzl to view the final resting place of Theodore Herzl, father of modern political Zionism, and gravesites of the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and other past leaders of Israel. BREAKFAST. Late morning departure. Drive northward to the great crater of Mitzpe Ramon, the "Machtesh", where we view a unique geological phenomenum comprised of ancient rock strata that dates back 200 million years. Then we visit David Ben Gurion's gravesite overlooking the wilderness of Zin. Continue via Beer Sheva, capital of the Negev to Tel-Aviv. PM: SPECIAL DINNER OUT followed by late evening transfer to the airport. We leave the great land of Israel for our return to the U.S.A. with unforgettable sights and memories etched in our minds of this extraordinary, incredible country. SHALOM!
